Biography
Born on March 12, 1971, in Gölcük, he developed an interest in music at an early age. While studying Industrial Product Design at Mimar Sinan University, Ogün Sanlısoy simultaneously pursued his music career, beginning his first stage experiences in 1989 with performances on acoustic guitar. In 1992, he joined the band Pentagram and contributed his vocals to their album "Trail Blazer," released that same year. He left Pentagram in 1995 and went on to release his first solo album "Korkma" in 1999, his second solo album "O Gün" in 2004, and his third solo album "Üç" in 2006. After releasing the songs "Büyüdük Aniden" and "Yukarıya Bak" on MySpace in 2009, he shared his fourth studio album "Ben" in 2011. In 2012, he released the album "Akustik 2012," which featured acoustic versions of his older songs as well as the duet "Dayanamam," recorded together with Özlem Tekin. In 2015, he released his album "Sen Uyurken" and made his directorial debut with the music video for the track "Sen." In 2017, he reunited with Pentagram to release the album "Pentagram Akustik" and took part in concerts held across Turkey and Europe to celebrate the band's 30th anniversary. In 2019, coinciding with the 20th anniversary of Ogün Sanlısoy's solo career, the single "Aslında Gülmek Gerek" was launched on March 12 with a release event and 20th anniversary celebration, making it available on all digital platforms. That same year, he continued releasing singles with "Hep Aklımdasın" and "Gel Dünyama." In 2021, Ogün Sanlısoy released his second acoustic album "Yaşamaya Devam," while also continuing his work with Pentagram, contributing to the album "Makina Elektrika," released in late 2022. In 2023, he shared his long-awaited debut EP "Gel," accompanied by music videos created with artificial intelligence. Most recently, in May 2024, he released "GİT," the follow-up EP to "Gel," and combined them both into a full album titled "Gelgit."
